• = Յն. բնագրի ἀγϰών «թև, արմուկ» բառն է, որ ուղղակի տառադարձուած է. ըստ այսմ մեր բառի հին ձևն էր *անկոն կամ անկովն, որ յետոյ շփոթուելով անկիւն բառի հետ՝ այս ձևն է ստացել. հմմտ. անակիւղ < ἀνάϰωλος։ -ճ.
