• = Պհլ. bunak «տուն, բնակարան» ձևից, որ թէև այս իմաստով աւանդուած չէ, սակայն հաստատելու համար ունինք պրս. [arabic word] buna «տուն, հայրենիք. 2. կահ-կարասիք», պհլ. bunak «կահկարասիք», Բելուճ. bunag «կահ-կարասիք»։ Իրանեան բառերը ծագում են պարզական bun ձե-վից, որից փոխառեալ է հյ. բուն. այս պատճառով բնակ բառի և բուն բառի ա-ծանցները շատ անգամ իրար հետ շփոթւում են, կամ այնքան են իրար մօտենում, որ դժուար է լինում որոշել թէ ո՛ր արմատից են ծագում. այսպէս օր. բնականալ «բնակիլ, բնիկ դառնալ, ընտանենալ», բնակցութիւն «բնակակցութիւն» (առաջինը անշուշտ բուն արմատից, երկրորդը՝ բնակ արմատից)։ Պհլ. bunak «բնակավայր, wohnsitz» նշա-նակութեամբ գործածուած է Städteliste § 36 (Մարքվարտ, նամակ 1926 յունվ.)։ -Հիւբշ. 121։
• ՆՀԲ հանում է բուն բառից, կցելով բնակ «բնիկ» բառին։ Ուղիղ մեկնեց Lagarde, Symmicta 34, 92, որ կցում է պրս. buna և արաբ. bunak բառերին. բայց սա էլ նորից միացնում է բնակ «բնիկ» բառին։ Երկու արմատների զանազա-նութիւնը երևան հանեց նախ Հիւբշ.։
