Arali բառից, որ է «սանդարամետ, ստորերկրեայ աշխարհ, մահու երկիրը, ուր իջաւ Թամմուզը»։ Տէրվիշ. Լեզու 1887, 115 լիզել բայից։ Առլէզների վրայ վեց առանձին յօդուած ունին Հմայեակ Նաւեան, Եղիշե վրդ. Դուրեան, Կ. 3. Պասմաճեան, Դ. Խաչկոնց և Դ. Շառա-րեան (տե՛ս Ծաղիկ 1895, էջ 550-556 և 601-616)։ Դուրեանի կարծիքն այն է, որ յարալէզ միջնադարեան մի ձև է, իսկ «յար լիզօղ» ստուգաբանութիւնո ծա-գում է Վարդան Վարդապետից. հին և ուղիղ ձևն է առլէզ կամ արալէզ։ Sche-il, Բազմ. 1897, էջ 77 խալդեան erilas «արքայ» բառից, իբր «արքալ աս-տուածոզ»։ Մանրակրկիտ և ընտիր մի ւռուած ունի Կ. Յ.
