Ակինեան ՀԱ 1930, 496 ընդունում է, որ բառս այս նշանակութեամբ է մտած հայ գրականութեան մէջ, բայց սխալ է հա-մարում, որովհետև էջմիածնում լսել է բաց-մանակի օաղիկ՝ իբր «լտ. acheillea mille-folium, ֆրանս. achillèe, գերմ. Schaf-garbe, թրք. ղլիճ օթի» իմաստով։ Նշա-նակութիւն չունի, որովհետև բոյսերի անուն-ները գաւառից գս առ շատ են փոխում իրենց իմաստը (գրուած է նաև ուրիշ շատ զանա-զան ձևերով. այսպէս՝ բարձուենեկ, բարձուե-նիկ, բարձուինեակ, բացուենեկ, բարձումե-նեկ, բարձմանեակ, բացմենակ, բարձնակ, բըրթվինակ) Մխ. բժշ. 133. Գաղիան. Սալաձ. Բժշ. այս ծաղիկը շատ է տարածուած Հայաս-տանում. վերոյիշեալ զանազան ձևերն էլ ցոյց են տալիս, որ անունը զանազան տեղեր գործածական էր։

ՆՀԲ յիշելով նոյն վկայու-թիւնը՝ դնում է բարձուաւանդակին. յունա-րէնն ունի ϰαὶ λήύομαι ἐγω ἐϰ τῶν έϰλεxτῶν τῆς ϰέδρον έϰ ϰορυφῆς, որ է «լեռան գագա-թից»). սեռականի նոյն ձևը ունի նաև յետնաբար Յայսմաւուրք, յունիս 26 «Կա-խեցին զերկոսին ի բարձու աւանդակի» (ըստ վկայութեան ՆՀԲ-ի)։ Այս բառիո են կազմուած բարձրաւանդակագոյն Փիլ. բարձ-րաւանդայարկ Անան. եկեղ. անպէտ բառե-րը։
• = Կազմուած է բարձ+ւանդ բառերից. վերջինը գտնում ենք նաև սարաւանդ, սա-րաւանդակ, գահաւանդ, գահաւանդակ և դա-րաւանդ բառերի մէջ. այս բոլորի մէջ էլ -ւանդ ունի «բարձը տեղ» նշանակությունը։--ւանդ բառը գտնում ենք նաև մի քանի ուրիշ բառերի ծայրը. ինչ. պարաւանդ, շարաւանդ, վարաւանդ, բահուանդ, որոնց բոլորի մէջ նշանակում է «կապ» և փոխառեալ է իրան. band, wand «կապ» բառից (աւելի ընդար-ձակ տե՛ս բահուանդ բառի տակ)։ Յայտնի չէ թէ այս երկուսը միևնոյն բառե՞րն են. ու-րիշ խօսքով պրս. band «կապ» ունէ՞ր նաև «տեղ, բարձր տեղ» նշանակութիւնը։ Երկու-սին իբրև միջին օղակ ծառայի թերևս հյ. դա-րաւանդ «բարձունք» իբր պրս.
