Jahrb. 1843, 144, Windisch. 21, Gosche 34 ևն։ Յունա-րէնի համեմատութիւնը տալիս է նախ Bötticher ZDMG 1850, 351 ևն։ Pott ZKM 1850, 167 մեր ձևի հետ է հա-մեմատում քրդ. bāsk kaluin «ծևա-մորճ»։ Տէրվ. Նախալ. 95 հնխ. bhagh «աճիլ» արմատից։ Jensen ՀԱ 1904 183 գտնում է հաթ. p'ás'á «թև» բառը, որով հայերէն բազուկ համարում է բնիկ և ո՛չ թէ փոխառեալ։
• ԳՒՌ.-Ոոմ. բ'ացուկ «դաստակ», Տիգ փmզուգ «թև». նոր բառ է բազկապ Չն. «օր-րանի վրայի այն կապը, որով մանկիկին կապում են, որպէսզի վայր չընկնի»։ Նոյնպէս և բազկալոմ Բլ. «շալը գործելուց յետոյ խաւ տալու համար ձեռքով լմելը»։
• ՓՈԽ.-Ուտ. բազուկ «անութ, անութի տա-կի փոսր»։
• =Նոյն բազուկ «թև» բառն է, որ յատկա-ցուած է այս բոյսին՝ իր երկար թևերի պատ-ճառաւ։ Նկատելի է, որ ճակնդեղի ամէնից պիտանի մասերն են տակը (արմատը) և բազուկները (թևերը). այս պատճառով էլ ժողովուրդը կոչում է տեղ տեղ տակ և տեղ ռեռ եւ ռառուև անունով. հմմտ. նաև Վն. ճոռ, որ բուն նշանակում է «կիսախողովակաձև», բայց նաև «ճակնդեղի կոթերը» (ձևից առնե-լով այսպէս կոչուած)։ Միջին հայերէնում ասւում էր տակաւին ճակնդեղի բազուկ Մխ. բժշ. 83, 117, որից յետոյ սեռականը վերա-սուեց։ Արդի գաւառականներում բազուկ բառը յատկացուած է նաև ուրիշ մի քանի բուսեղէնների, որոնք նոյնպէս թևի նմանու-թիւնից ստացել են իրենց կոչումը. այսպէս կի բարակ ու կանաչ ճիւղերը», Ակն. «բան-ջարի ցօղուն, զոխ», Տիգ. «հազար բոյսի կո-թը», Սեբ. «տերևի երկարութեամբ (այսին-րըն կոթից մինչև ծայրը) զնացող ջիղը», եալ. • ՆՀԲ դնում է բազուկ «թև» բառի տակ։ Հիւնք. դնում է պրս. pāzū բառից, որ տե՛ս տակը ՓՈԽ։-Հիւբշ. չէ յիշած։

• ՓՈԽ.-Հայերէնից փոխառեալ են պրս. [arabic word] pāzu «բազուկ, որ է յայտնի բանջար ինչ տափատերև» (ԳԴ), գւռ. թրք. [arabic word] pázug «բազուկ», [arabic word] paskuten ( «բազ-կաթան» (տե՛ս Յ. Գազանճեան, Յուշարձան, էջ 329ա). գրական թուրքերէնում ընդուն-ուած ձևն է [arabic word] pazə «բազուկ, bette» (տե՛ս Արիկեան, Բառ. տճկ.-հայ-գաղղ. էջ 208բ)։ Թուրքերէնի միջոցաւ հայերէ-նից է փոխառեալ յն. ϰοζί «բազուկ»։ Այս բոլորն էլ յետին ժամանակի փռևառա-թիւններ են, ուստի ներկայացնում են հա-յերէն թրթռուն բ-ի դէմ խուլ p ձայնաշըր-ջութիւնը։
