• = Պրս. [arabic word] zarkaš «ոսկեթելով հիւ-սուած կերպաս կամ զգեստ», որից փոխա-ռեալ է նաև վրաց. ზარკამი զարքաշի «ոս-կէ կամ արծաթէ թել. ոսկեհուռն կերպաս մետաքսեայ»։ Պարսիկ բառը կազմուած է zar «ոսկի» և kaš-«քաշած» բառերից։-Հիւբշ. 150։
• Որովհետև բառը հայցական հոլով է, ուստի ՆՀԲ դնում է զառքաշ կամ առ-քաշ. իբր թէ առ նախդիրով կազմուած՝ քաշել բայից. յիշում է նաև պրս. zer «ոսկի»։ Բայց հանդերձ գոյականը ա-ռաջ դրուելուց յայտնի է որ զ նախդիր չէ. բացի սրանից, պրս. և վրաց. ձևերը կասկած չեն թողնում, որ բառի բուն ձևն է զառքաշ, որի մօտ դրուած «առ ստորոտովք, ի վերջաւորս» բառերն էլ այնպես լաւ յարմարում են յիշեալ «ա-սեղնագործ» իմաստին։ Ուղիղ մեկնու-թիւնը վերի ձևով տուաւ Հիւբշ.
