• Հներից Վանակ. տարեմտ. մեկնում է. «Նաւասարդ, նոր ասի, այսինքն ըս-կիզբն տարւոյ կամ ա՛րդ է ժամանակ նաւելոյ...» և համարում է Հայկի առա-ջին որդու անունը։ Տաթև. ձմ. ա. մեկ-նում է «Նոր, այսինքն սկիզբն տարւոյ» միանգամայն Հայկի որդիներից մէկը և վերջապէս «Նաւասարդի զնաւարկութիւն ասէ, յորժամ հոգի Աստուծոյ շրջէր ի վերայ ջուրց»։ Նոյնպէս Տաթև. հարց. 200 «Նոր ասի, այսինքն սկիզբն տար-ւոյ. և դարձեալ՝ այժմ է եղանակ նա-ւելոյ ի վերայ Ովկիանու»։ Ստեփ. լեհ. համարում է յանուն Նաբոնասարայ տո-մարագէտ արքայի Բաբելացւոց։ Ին-ճիճեան, Հնախ.
