Արրտ. 1911, 673)։-Աւելի հե-տաքրքրական են էգուց, էգվան բառերը՝ ո-ռոնք հնչւում են Ախց. Խտջ. Կր. էքվան «վա-որ», Երև. Լ. Հբ. Ղզ. Ղրբ. Մշ. Տս. Տր. Տփ. է-քուց, Շմ. էքուց, յէքուց, Հմշ. էքվօն «առաւո-տուն», էքուց, էքունց «վաղը», Ջղ. գեկուց, Ագլ. հեօ՛գ.իւց, յեօ՛գ.իւց։ Կայ նաև հին լեզ-ււմ «վաղը» նշանակութեամբ. հմմտ. Սոկր. էջ 365՝ «Ես և այսօր և այգուց նոյնս եմ». մի-ջին հյ. յեգուցն, յեգցենէ «վաղը, վաղուանից» Անսիզք 13. եգցենն «վաղուանը» Տաթև. ամ. 379. ժողովրդական եգուց, յեգուց ձևը յիշում է Համամ. քեր. 271, այսպէս՝ «Ի վաղիւն տե-սանէ զՅիսուս զի գայ, զոր գռեհիկքն յեգուց առեն, եգուց դառնամք» (նոյնը նաև քանիցս Վրք. հց.). «առաւօտ» և «վաղը» նշանակու-թեանց զարգացման համար հմմտ. գերմ. morgen «առաւօտ և վադը», ռուս. aавтnə «վաղը»<зa-утрo «առաւօտ»։ էգուց ձևից է էքսի (այսինքն էգուցի), որից էքսի օրը, էք-սան օրը, մէկէլ էքսը և ընդհանրացմամբ էքսի տարին։-Ազգագրական նշանակութիւն ունի էքպարէվ (էգբարև, այգբարև) Վն. «պսակի հետևեալ առաւօտը նորապսակ զոյգը նուագածուների հետ կտուր բարձրա-նալով՝ արևի ծագումը երգելն ու ողջունելը» (Ազգ. հանդ. իե 52)։ Կայ վերջապէս Ղրբ. իք-նա՛րօտ «նախ քան լուսաբացը նախիրն արօտ տանելը»։
